This game is way beyond that. It would at least be nice to know what the goal of a puzzle is. How can I make moves in a puzzle if I don't know what I am trying to accomplish?. Puzzle 'n' tale. 2nd best.. Let's get the negatives ot of the way...* very limited settings (e.g. no separate volume settings, no subtitles, bad save and load options etc.)* tediously slow cutscenes (especially in games/puzzles)* navigation through map doesn't * point & click active screen parts aren't always properly seperatedBut there's also a lot of enjoyment (as in the amount of hours you'll have to spend getting through it) to beget from the game. It's full of puzzles and riddles for those who love to use their brain for something more challenging than shooting or racing. There's basically a thriller/horror movie embedded in the game with a nice storyline. It's good value if you can get it as part of a package or on sale (I got 7th guest and 11th hour together for under Euro 2).. Used to like this game back in the day, now stuck on "adjust brightness" screen and can't do anything.. Although it seems like Trilobyte was trying to outdo 7th Guest in every aspect with this ambitious title (and in many ways they succeeded), most average players will probably lose the flow of the game when solving puzzles. Good Lord... some of the anagram wordplay is just downright insane. Even the most steadfast Scrabble players will be left scratching their heads on several occasions. The active puzzles were fun, except for a couple that are damn near impossible without getting lucky. The acting is a step up from 7th Guest, and even though the plot was on par with a typical "B" movie, I was connected enough to the characters to want to see the outcome.If you are a big fan of 7th Guest, dive in! If not, "Amiga hits dove". <annoying Stauf laughter follows>
