I almost gave up on that one until the end of the second episode, but 3-5 completely made up for them.I'm hoping the last 2 chapters of LIS2 can do that.I didn't much care for Before The Storm. Without the time power, and with even less puzzles and interaction, it was basically a teen drama movie. But I still gave it a thumbs up, maybe 6/10.So far I would give Life Is Strange 2 a 4/10. Even with the addition of some super power and intrigue back, it has not come close to being as good as Before the Storm, much less the first game.Sean is boring. Daniel is annoying as heck. All the other characters are somewhere in between.Apparently you get the opportunity to choose your sexuality in episode 3, but I never got to do that as I didn't agree to get the ugliest haircut imaginable. Much worse, if you do get the haircut your only options are to kiss a ♥♥♥♥♥y hippie guy or possibly have sex with a ♥♥♥♥♥y hippie girl. These characters are terrible. Who would want to have a relationship with either of them? The story is bad. The characters are bad. The situations are laughable. All the times I wanted to make a choice I wasn't given the opportunity. Some dumb choice was imposed on me to advance the story. It gives the illusion of choice, but of course always ends up in one of two places at the end. Maybe let's not break into grandma's room. No! That's not a choice. We must do every stupid thing without thinking. This game is so non-interactive that my controller has fallen asleep numerous times, and then I missed making a choice when it popped up out of the blue. Not that I blame the controller. The game is so boring I think I may have fallen asleep a few times as well.Unless the last two episodes pull off a miracle, there's no reason to play this, for any price.. So, my review after season 3 without any kind of spoilers:I don't know if I should give a thumb up or down because it's somewhere in between. Why?+ The idea of the story and its setting+ the love to the detail in some points (objects, conversations,...)+ The characters (at the beginning)+ The real big impact of your choices+ The graphics- The episodes are very short (especially if you follow the main story and don't investigate everything); I played episode 1- 3 within around 6, maximum 7 hours.- The characters are sadly staying the same and get more and more annoying. I really hoped that we see more a inner conflict and a change of them, but unfortunately this isn't happening yet.- The story is not really worked out in the detail (Story, not the objects, conversations, etc like mentioned before). There are some questions and logical mistakes in my opinion. In one episode, the relation between the two main characters was good and in the next episode it suddenly changed for no reason. seemed a bit like a blanket-filler. Maybe they needed it for episode 4 and 5. At least I hope so. - Same topics( conflicts repeating over again.SUMMARY:This game is NOT Life is Strange 1. It should not be. And that's what you have to remember. It's a new game. A new story. New characters. Even though the idea and the setting fit very well, the developer didn't use all the potential in my opinion. I saw it recently in Ep.3 which took around 1 1/2 hours to play. There were so many opportunities to put in a little side story or to tell things more detailed. It all seems unfinished. Sadly, because I really enjoyed Episode 1! <3But referring to the recent two episodes, it's pretty quickly told, I could tell all the things that happened within 5 mins. WHO SHOULD BUY?People who love story telling games that are not that long.People who never played story telling games, but would like to get into this genre.People who are into story telling games? Could be. But if you're looking for a really detailed and worked out story, than you will be disappointed so far. I will update my review after Episode 4 :). Disapointing ending to episode 3Seriously, I really love the game, but the slow paced development is tiring me off,i just want to play the rest of it, using the plain excuse of hearing the feedback to improve the game doesn't seem to justify the months of waiting..waiting 5 months between episodes is really turn down for me, especially when the episodes can be finished in 2 hours I don't recommend to people who like to play everything right away and have no patience. Episode 1-2 are alright, Episode 3 however felt unnecessary and just boring. LIS2 lacks the two things that made the first game so great: Good characters and an interesting story.LIS2 is all about babysitting a kid with superpowers that keeps ♥♥♥♥ing things up because it never listens to you.I enjoyed LIS1 because I liked basically all the characters. LIS2 had two good characters, but both of them lasted for just one episode. And all you are left with is that whiny main character and his mostly annoying brother.. and episode 3 actually made me hope that both of them get catched and locked away for eternity at some point. They are the most insufferably video game characters I've ever witnessed.. Episode 1: a good startEpisode 2: it's a rocky pathEpisode 3: OMGWTFBBQ. I really ♥♥♥♥ing hate Daniel. He cant listen and is trouble for everybody and literally ruins the whole game
